After trapping my rod in the wing mirrors of the car, and breaking it, it was time to look for something to hold the rod while I finish setting up.

This magnetic rod holder clamps onto the side of the car and can hold 3 rods. The restraining cord ensures they do not fall out.

Why risk breaking a rod in folding wing mirrors, or a closing car door? Much cheaper to get one of these.
