Tenkara Zoom Fishing Rod 245cm/206cm (8'/6'9")

This is the real deal for those very tight brooks and streams. Extensive testing brings you a perfect casting tool for #2 to #5 lines. Made from high quality Japanese carbon fibre in China. The rod has a sharp power curve which requires only a flick of the wrist to cast the line. Exactly what you need on those very tight conditions.

The rod can be fished at 245cm or at 206cm when the first section at the handle end is collapsed into the handle. The section is held securely in the handle.

A high quality camo EVA handle is a firm and warm grip, even over the very end. Finished in a matt grey the rod will not flash and scare the fish. The rod comes in an embroidered bag with a spare tip set in a pocket of the bag.

*Note* The carbon fibre rod tube was not correctly printed and so we are selling them for only £5 as seconds. There is nothing wrong with the tubes except the printing which is not up to the high standard we demand for our products. (54cm Long, 2.9cm Inside Diameter).

*Note 2* The new batch of rods have a pocket for the spare tip. The rod tube can only hold the rod without the sock. More tubes are being manufactured.

  • Closed Length: 52cm (including the 1cm end cap)
  • Weight: 54g (1.9oz)
  • Handle Length: 23cm
  • Sections: 6

Warranty

All rods come with an unconditional guarantee against manufacture defect. If a rod proves to have a manufacturing fault we will replace it free of charge. All you need to do is return the damaged rod to us for inspection to confirm the warranty claim.

The first 2 sections are not covered by the warranty because they are so easily damaged by user error. However, all is not lost. Contact us and we will arrange replacement tips at a reasonable cost to cover postage.

Should you damage your rod in any other way, then as the original owner, we will replace your rod for a 50% of the current full retail price of a new rod or equivalent.

Care For Your Rod

Occasionally joints get stuck because they have been pulled together too tight. You only need very light pressure for the joints to hold open. They might also be stuck because of dirt getting into the joints. There are many guides online to help you with this situation. Most importantly make sure you hold the sections very close to the joint while extending and collapsing your rod to avoid sideways pressure that could snap a delicate tip.

Taking off the butt cap to carefully remove the sections and clean them is a good idea every now and again.

*Due to the telescopic design of these rods the lengths can only be approximate.*
