Mendora Sakasa Kebari Set

These are traditional, barbless, Tenkara flies and so it's worth using the Japanese terns to describe them.

Mendori: Hen Hackle
Sakasa: Reverse Hackle
Kebari: Fly

The reverse hackle fly is seen as the iconic Tenkara fly. It is not the most common fly in the Tenkara box though. The long hackles really grab the current. They open on the pull and close on the pause. The opposite of western wet flies and sinking a little quicker. Amazing patterns for sight fishing.
